MISSISSIPPI ART COLONY CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM...

Our purpose in pursuing this endeavor will be to preserve the rich and wonderful history that is the Art Colony's and to continue to educate through exhibits, both permanent and temporary.  With the blessings of the Fontaine family, Canton, Mississippi, has been chosen as the most likely location for this collection to be housed, in keeping with the beginnings of the art Colony in 1948 at Hosford Fontaine's 'Allison's Wells Hotel' which was located in Way, Mississippi - just outside Canton. Really exciting things ahead - many many details to be worked out, but as we approach our 50th Anniversary as an organization, I think the appropriateness of the timing is obvious.
